Beyond the schedule, the first big-ticket item this ILX is known for is 8-speed dual-clutch (DCT) shudder/harsh low-speed engagement from about 40,000 miles ($1,500-$3,500 clutch/mechatronic). It is a range, not a certainty - but it is the number to have in your head at the dealership.
Operator notes
Timing CHAIN (no belt). K24 2.4L is durable. 2016+ used the 8-speed dual-clutch (DCT), which needs its specific fluid, NOT CVT fluid. Synthetic oil on Maintenance Minder (~7,500 mi). Final year 2022 (Integra replaced it).
