I run a car rental fleet in Southern California and I'm an All-Star Host on Turo. That means I buy cars constantly, and a bad purchase comes straight out of my pocket - so I learned to buy on the numbers instead of the sales pitch.
I know what a car really costs per mile it has left, what it actually earns on Turo in my market, what the maintenance tail looks like, and the mileage where the smart money sells before the expensive repairs hit. It's a system, and it is the difference between a fleet that compounds and one that bleeds.
So I turned my method into Carlyle. It runs the same ROI math I use on my own money, on live market and rental data, so any operator - one car or twenty - can size up a buy in seconds instead of learning it the way I did.
