The car market answers to dealers.
We answer to you.
Carlyle is a car-buying advocate built by someone who buys cars for a living - and got tired of watching regular buyers walk in without a fair shot.

The founder
Hi, I'm Johnathon
I run a car rental fleet in Southern California and I'm an All-Star Host on Turo. That means I buy cars constantly, and a bad purchase comes straight out of my pocket - so I learned to buy on the numbers instead of the sales pitch.
I know what a car really costs per mile it has left, what it actually runs out-the-door once the fees land, and how to find the same car sitting cheaper a county over. It's a system, and it works. The problem is that a normal buyer doing this twice a decade never gets to build it.
So I turned my method into Carlyle. It runs the same ROI math I use on my own money, pulls real listings near you, and hands you the leverage I'd want in my own corner. No dealer money touches it, because the second it does, it stops being yours.
What we believe
Four principles we won't trade away
No dealer money, ever
The moment a car site takes dealer ad money or sells your number as a lead, it works for them. We refuse both, so we can only work for you.
The math doesn't blink
Every listing is scored on what it truly costs per useful mile it has left, and shown at its real out-the-door price. No sticker games.
Built from real operator experience
This is the exact method a working fleet operator uses to buy cars, turned into a tool - not a marketing team’s idea of car buying.
Your data stays yours
We never get your phone number to sell, so the dealership calls never start. Analytics are stripped of anything that identifies you.
How we make money
You pay us. That's the whole model.
A free daily chat, low-cost subscriptions for heavy shoppers, a flat fee if you want a human to negotiate, and plans for fleet operators. That's every dollar Carlyle makes. No dealer advertising, no lead sales, no kickbacks - the incentives that quietly bend every “free” car site against you simply aren't here.
