Third-gen (N18) sedan with 1.6L HR16DE port-injected inline-4 (122 hp). 5-speed manual was dropped during the run, so nearly all late cars use the Xtronic CVT (Jatco). 0W-20 synthetic, ~4.1 qt. Timing CHAIN. HR16 is PORT injection, so no GDI carbon-buildup issue. Severe service = 5,000 mi oil; CVT fluid (NS-3) drain/fill every ~30k is the single most life-extending service.
