Known repair windows

What Artura owners actually run into

Mileage ranges where these repairs typically show up. Buying above a window is not automatically a pass - it just needs to be priced in.

Hybrid system / 12V power fault stranding car ("bricking")

high severity

5,000+ mi · warranty (est. $1,000-$5,000 out of warranty)

HV/12V system - hybrid charging fault leaves 12V dead, disabling doors and brakes; reported on very low-mileage cars

High-pressure fuel pipe leak (recall, 2023-2024 cars)

high severity

Any mileage · recall / warranty

HPFP/fuel system - recalled high-pressure fuel pipe that could leak; safety recall

Software / electronic control gremlins

low severity

0-15,000 mi · $0-$1,500 (mostly OTA/dealer updates)

Infotainment/ECU - early software bugs largely fixed via updates

A/C failure

medium severity

5,000-30,000 mi · $1,000-$3,500

AC compressor/condenser - owner-reported A/C failures on early cars

Engine oil leaks

medium severity

5,000-30,000 mi · $800-$3,000

Seal/gasket oil leaks reported on early V6 builds

HV battery long-term degradation

high severity

Any mileage · $10,000-$25,000+

HV battery - capacity fade over life; covered 8 yr/100k mi, costly out of warranty

Cost to keep

What it costs to own, by how long you keep it

Scheduled servicing only, from a brand-new Artura at 12,000 miles a year. Insurance, fuel, tires and depreciation are yours to add - this is the part the shop charges you for.

Per-month can dip as the horizon lengthens - a major service lands in one year and then averages out across all the months after it. The left column is what you actually spend.

Beyond the schedule, the first big-ticket item this Artura is known for is Hybrid system / 12V power fault stranding car ("bricking") from about 5,000 miles (warranty (est. $1,000-$5,000 out of warranty)). It is a range, not a certainty - but it is the number to have in your head at the dealership.

Operator notes

Current model, launched 2022 (Coupe) / 2024 (Spider), still in production. Mid-mounted 3.0L M630 twin-turbo V6 + axial-flux e-motor, ~7.4 kWh HV battery with plug-in charging and ~11 mi electric range = PHEV. Timing CHAIN. Hybrid still gets scheduled synthetic oil changes; annual service every 12 months or 10,000 mi (~$1,500-$3,000/yr). Regen braking greatly extends brake pad/rotor life. HV battery warranted 8 yr / 100k mi (US federal) and expected ~10-year life. 8-speed dual-clutch (no reverse gear - uses e-motor). Early cars had software issues largely resolved via updates; 2025 cars got a p

When the smart money sells

Keeping it yourself, there is no cutoff - the table above runs to fifteen years. On fleet math, where a car has to keep earning, a phev Artura retires around 150,000 miles - but the exit window opens earlier here: Hybrid system / 12V power fault stranding car ("bricking") risk window (warranty (est. $1,000-$5,000 out of warranty)) opens ~5,000 mi. Carlyle's garage tracks this per car, against your actual odometer.

Cost ranges are typical US independent-shop estimates and vary by region and condition. Modeling, not mechanic advice - always confirm against your car's service records.
