Shared LF1/2.8T GM HFV6 architecture (same family as Cadillac SRX 3.0/3.6). Cold-start rattle, stretched primary/secondary chains and worn cam phasers; can throw timing-correlation codes. Aggravated by extended oil intervals.

Water pump failure / coolant leak

Belt-driven GM HFV6 water pump is a known weak point; weep/leak leads to overheating risk. Common across the 3.0i and 2.8T.

Turbocharger failure (2.8T Aero only)
